Ringworm won't heal....................?

hi. I'm pretty sure i have ringworm as i have researched and it looks the same as what i've researched and i also have a cat. Its on my lower leg and it was a scab thing first and now its just a red mark, kind of spotty. It spread to the top of my thigh, under my arm and my lower back. I have been putting fungal cream that the chemist recommended to me for a week now and it does look slightly better but not by much. I don't know what to do and it is so annoying, any advice?

Ok, so my son's father and I were together for about a year and a half before I ended things back in Oct. 2010. We were bitter at each other for about 3 weeks after, then we slept together. He's stayed the night on and off throughout the week and on weekends and we've been sleeping together ever since then up till about a month and a half ago. I feel messed up and need perspective. Greg and I have known each other for more than two years, through which time he and his wife were already 'separated' with the help of a counselor but still living in the same house. 16 months old with diarrohea and cramps?

Custody dispute with BPD ex-husband?

I need un-biased opinions on how to handle my situation! My ex-husband and I have been separated since our son was four months old, so almost two years. I’m a pretty laid-back and passive person, I hate drama and confrontations and so I have about zero enemies. Well, my ex may be considered one. I want to be cordial with him. Hell it would be great if we could be friends, that would a wonderful thing in regards to raising our son. Honestly, it would a lot easier to be on good terms with him and dump my hyperactive kid off with him every now and then but that simply cannot be. He is impossible to please. He cannot be reasoned with. No matter how accommodating I am, no matter how casual I try to keep things, he finds some reason or in some cases makes them up, to fight. He takes the baby for a weekend and forgets to return his jacket when he brings him back. I tell him its cool and just bring next weekend. He never shows up and I send him a text asking if was going to bring the jacket that weekend. What I intended was “will you have a chance to bring it this weekend” but he took it completely wrong and I was treated to a torrent of profanity and misspelled insults. Before I could even begin to process what the hell I said to trigger this, his girlfriend (who I didn’t even know about and who’s home my son was staying at when he was with his dad) begins texting me and calling me names and trying to, as she put it, ‘tell me something about myself’. I was too confused and angry at this point to respond with any sort of rational rebuttal and it melted into an embarrassing yelling match over the phone with his girlfriend. And for the past six months this is how it goes. He’ll lose his mind over some incomprehensible insult he perceives and I respond to him suddenly cussing me out with my own foul words, we don’t talk for a few weeks, he apologizes and ask to see his son and I really want him to have a relationship with his father so I let bygones be bygones and we get along for a few weeks until a new drama arises and the cycle repeats. As sure as the sun rises and sets each day, my ex will be reasonable and ‘normal’ then switch gears to hateful and insane. This isn’t the problem so much because my mother is crazy, I can handle crazy fine. What worries me is he has no common sense or good judgment. For example: While in between engagements (I think he’s in his fifth currently) he was roommates with a married couple and their toddler. He tells me about this arrangement so that I would send our son his way but I know him too well and check things out first. It was pretty easy since the wife, the one who would be watching my two year old son while my ex was working, had every social website she had open to the public and what I learned was she was 19, aspired to be a stripper because she enjoyed dancing, had friends over to drink at least a couple of times a week, often slept until after 1PM and in one recent event had the cops at her house when her husband became enraged during a party after finding her in a locked bedroom with another man and chased her with a knife through their house. Lovely, sounds like a peachy place for young children. My at first ex denies any knowledge of the incident despite the fact that SHE HAS PICTURES OF HIM AT THE PARTY ON THE NIGHT THAT HAPPENED ON HER FACEBOOK. He then scolds me for my accusations and insists they are wonderful people. If those are wonderful people I would hate to meet the terrible ones. So fast forward to the present week. We attend a long overdue child support hearing and upon hearing the payment calculation (which by the way is under $350) he starts pouring out anything he believes will at least delay the judgment. The child may not be his, he shouldn’t have to pay so much for a child he hardly sees, and he wants to just wants to sign over his rights and be done with it. Of course, none of this works and he leaves very disappointed. I want him and my son to have a relationship but I want to know my son is safe when he’s with him. I want to send him off for the weekend and not worry that my ex will take off with him and I never see my baby again. I want to have a decent relationship with my child’s father and work together to raise him. I now keep the baby with me because his mental stability is questionable and I have an obligation to protect my son from anyone I feel poses a threat. I’m at a loss. Do I take the moral highroad and continue my attempts with allowing visits and live with the risks? Or do I lay down the law and tell him he’s had enough chances and he can take me to court? I don’t want be the bad guy in this but I don’t know which option that be. And I did not mean to make this so long, sorry!

ATTENTION CHEMISTS! Good lab practices?

I am taking a college organic chemistry laboratory class. Today in lab we were given an unknown solid (crystal) organic substance to test in various ways. Then we were given 7 known substances to test as well to figure out which one of these our unknown was. Once we thought we figured out our unknown, we tested that known chemical in the exact same tests as we did with our unknown. We got all the same results. This obviously confirms they are the same substance (we did IR spectroscopy, for one.) But then our professor told us to MIX our known and unknown together and repeat all these tests again. That was very strange to me. Why would we do that once we had already confirmed that they are the same? It's redundant. And also, isn't it bad lab practice to mix an unknown with other substances just to test to see if they are the same? Even if this showed we didn't have the right identification of our unknown, it would give us less information than testing them side by side, and for another thing it's DANGEROUS. What if they weren't the same and they reacted together? Especially since in some tests we add heat (melting point)!! Am I right in thinking these things? Has anyone else done this or heard of these practices?

Something more than what the doctors say?

About two months ago I was taken to hospital with severe back pain, violent vomiting and it being painful to urinate. It was also painful when the doctor pressed my stomach. I was given antibiotics and told to go away, being told it was nothing more than a simple UTI. I took the full course of the antibiotics but as soon as I was off them it started again. Before I knew it I was back in hospital with even worse vomiting, back pain and all the same symptoms as before. I was just given more antibiotics and told to go away again. Weeks later and the symptoms still persist and get worse after sex. It's been a long time since I felt properly healthy. My mum suggested getting cystitis relief from the chemist to see if it'd help but it made no difference. I feel at a loose end and the NHS don't seem to want to know, anyone have any ideas what this could be?

hey, im not fat and ive never been on a diet. but wat i know is, exercise doesnt exactly help lose weight because when u exercise, u get hungry and u eventually eat more. so wat u have to do is change ur lifestyle. u have to eat lots of veggies (they have less calories and fill up ur stomach), decrease sweets and fat. and sometimes ur weight is in ur genes, sometimes u cant just change it. but good luck

Sounds like a classic case of "peopleitis". I get that two.Speaking from experience you have to figure some sort of mental exercise(yoga breathing or ?) that will work for you. Nosense in wasting energy on "why can't I be normal" feelings. That would be self defeating. Just find a coping mechanism that works for you. Embrace your positives and negatives and try to be the best person you can be.

I feel so frustrated..where is my life going?

I completed my mba in hr and marketing this year. i applied in many co's for job but got no reply from anywhere.i am average student , always got 1st division but i have weak communication skills and i have poor english .I don't know where is my life going.i completed my studies but i have no job now. my aunt says me to study for IAS but that's too tuff, my cousin says me to do PhD but i find no scope of PhD in management accept a professor. A co student has suddenly turned from amiable to rude?

I've heard there is a way to convert vyvanse (ADHD medicine) into adderall, how would one do that?

I have vyvanse (prescribed) but it doesn't seem to work. If I remember correctly, someone told me there is some type of protein one could find in a health store (such as GNC) that converts vyvanse back into adderall RX through some chemical process.(??) The difference between vyvanse and adderall is that after adderall is ingested the effects are more immediate and therefore, more noticeable for me. On the other hand, vyvanse is extended release, being released later through digestion and lasting/peaking with milder effects for longer/later in the day. I want to convert vyvanse into adderall for the purpose that adderall is the only ADHD med i have taken that works consistently, because the gradual peak of focus doesn't cut it for me. I need to go hard or go home, basically. I would not abuse this drug so don't even start. But even the adderall extended release (XR- not to be confused with RX, regular adderall) doesn't cut it. Feeling the effects immediately tends to give me the drive from the start of the day to get my priorities in check. SIDENOTE: Vyvanse does help me concentrate, but I still feel the effects of my ADHD as so: I can focus, but only on things that interest me, otherwise I can't even start to concentrate on schoolwork. With adderall RX I have been able to focus on anything I must focus on. The only reason I have not been prescribed adderall is because they usuallyprescribe the extended release version (adderall XR) or vyvanse to young adults for fear of abuse. I know adderall RX works, however, because i have taken it from a friend for finals in the past, taking reasonable doses. Also, with extended release, i have trouble sleeping at night, as the lasting effects keep me awake. If anyone can help me turn my vyvanse capsules back into the adderall RX form, that would be awesome!! I'm a bright kid, but my ADHD has been a factor in many of my shortcomings. I hope to one day work as a chemist, help me start my first self-motivated lab! :)
