Seeking knowledge other then islam?

would it be wrong to learn that western countries forced saudi arabia to outlaw slavery in 1962 and then forced the u.a.e to outlaw slaveryt in 1963 and ten force other muslim countries to do the same. non-muslims can just google,'' slavery in niger'' and learn about slavery in muslim countries today. im sure muslims want to learn about islam and should learn the facts about it.
