Why is it that Australia has so many streets with the same #$%# name?

we have about 12 million streets but only about 12 street names so we use the same ones over and over and over ad nauseum, almost every street is called Queen..or King, or Charles, Church, Elizabeth, Victoria, Park, George or Russell, how am I supposed to find the chemist in Church St when there are 24000 streets with the same name? Am I supposed to drive around in circles until I run out of petrol? And then how do I find the petrol station in Park St when there are 37800 streets with that name? who is responsible for this disastrous mismanagement? poiticians? celebrities? there is nothing smart or clever about a bunch of random overpaid tosspots trying to confuse an old man, I am usually the last one to complain about anything but I just cannot keep silent anymore about this, its making me so cranky that I can no longer tell the difference between coke and pepsi, is it really that difficult to think up some new street names, what about Ted St or Sue St or Dad St, see how easy it is, there is just no excuse for such poor planning and the scoundrels responsible should be dealt with harshly, are we all in agreement here,does it make you feel mean and angry too from driving around in circles trying to find William St when there are 68000 of them to choose from?
